Understanding This Condition

Lung disease is a broad category, not a single diagnosis. Asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis, sarcoidosis, chronic infections, and other conditions affect the lungs in different ways and require different testing and treatment. If you have new or worsening shortness of breath, chest pain, coughing up blood, a fever with breathlessness, or an oxygen reading that has dropped, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than booking a consultation.

Because the causes and risks vary, any discussion must begin with a confirmed diagnosis and current pulmonary care. The conditions this group currently covers are idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis, post-COVID pulmonary sequelae, and refractory asthma. Cellular and regenerative approaches are being studied in selected conditions, but they are not established general treatment for lung disease. The FDA warns that regenerative products promoted for pulmonary conditions may be unapproved.

Our consultation reviews your diagnosis, current stability, respiratory medication, oxygen needs, recent testing, and goals. A licensed provider explains the limits of the evidence and decides whether any supportive assessment is appropriate. Many lung conditions will not be eligible.

If your diagnosis is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, start on our COPD page. If your symptoms began after a COVID infection, start on Long COVID Supportive Care.

Potential Benefits

The consultation may help you:

  • A structured review of your specific pulmonary diagnosis, recent testing, and current respiratory care
  • A plain account of why no regenerative product is approved as a general treatment for lung disease
  • Screening for factors that affect eligibility, including stability, oxygen needs, and active infection
  • Questions to discuss with your pulmonologist
  • A practical next step if a licensed provider recommends further assessment

Who May Benefit

An assessment may make sense for people including:

  • Adults with a confirmed chronic lung diagnosis who remain under pulmonary care
  • People whose condition is clinically stable enough for a nonurgent consultation
  • Individuals seeking an evidence-aware discussion of emerging research
  • People able to share recent pulmonary testing and medication information
  • Adults who understand that established respiratory care must continue

Therapies a Provider May Consider

Every option is reviewed individually after your history, current care, and goals are understood.

What the Research Looks At

Lung diseases differ substantially in cause, severity, and established treatment. Regenerative products are not approved as a general treatment for pulmonary conditions. The references below provide lung-health context, the FDA warning, and registered-study information.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends entirely on the diagnosis. Lung conditions differ substantially in cause, severity, and established treatment, and no regenerative product is approved as a general treatment for any of them. A consultation begins with your confirmed diagnosis and your current pulmonary care. Many conditions will not be eligible.
No. We do not take over diagnosis, disease management, rehabilitation, or prescribed medication. Anything discussed here sits alongside the care provided by your existing clinical team.
This group currently covers idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis, post-COVID pulmonary sequelae, and refractory asthma. A confirmed diagnosis from a pulmonologist comes first, and eligibility is still decided case by case. Most enquiries in this group do not proceed past screening.
An unconfirmed diagnosis, unstable breathing, active infection, oxygen dependence, or a condition that is not currently managed by a pulmonologist. Being told that no further step is appropriate is a normal outcome of an honest assessment, and in this group it is the usual one.
Hitech Regen serves Southern California. Availability and suitability are discussed during the consultation before any visit is scheduled.
Cost is discussed after a licensed provider determines whether anything is appropriate to consider. We do not quote a condition-specific plan before the assessment.
